Olympic House

The house was created for the needs of a famous sports family. The investor had the idea of merging the nucleus of sport, the nucleus of the family and the captivating energy of the existing location. The plot is located on the edge of the settlement zone in an interesting terraced gorge with a stream bed at the bottom. Moving vertically along the plot opens up different views. The program required the construction of a Dalmatian house and a sports hall, and due to the uniqueness of the location, a hybrid of these two facilities was created. The house communicates with the field on three different levels and contains a multipurpose sports hall with accompanying therapeutic content and a workshop. The hall contains two sprint strips (indoors) with a length of slightly more than 30 m, above which lies a swimming overflow pool of 25 m. The facility meets all basic sustainability criteria, and special attention was paid to passive systems and spaces that allow greater connection of the house with the yard which can be used for life for most of the year. The tailoring precision of the project, which is so much tied to the client and the location, gives this house it’s uniqueness.
